Club Hub UK – How did Tessa do it?

I’ve always admired people that have an idea and follow it through to turn their dream into reality. What is it about them that is different to some that fail to reach that end goal? I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve tried to come up with the “flugelbinder” idea, similarly pondered in Cocktail – yeah a flashback to the 80’s I know!

I recently came across Club Hub UK, an app that’s currently in development by someone who followed her dream and is turning it into a reality. This app I’m sure will be the answer to all of our prayers, when we’re wondering what is out there to keep our little ones entertained. It’s designed to be a quick and easy way to find local kids activities in your area. Another one of those moments when you think…Why didn’t I think of that?!

Sky Tykes – Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham

We recently went to visit a friend in Nottingham for the weekend. At this point I’ll point out my friend doesn’t have any children. So as you can imagine, in order to protect her house from Hurricane Pre Schooler, I thought it was best we evacuate the house for a while and get out to help burn off some of his energy.

I used to live in Nottingham, many years ago and always loved Holme Pierrepont, a great Country Park and Water Sports Centre. It was always a good place to walk off hangovers and check out some of the guys taking part in the white water rafting and canoeing. And of course to take in the fresh air and walk around the lake.

So I thought this would be a great place to take the little guy, so off we went…After almost grounding my car on one of the speed bumps (heads up to go VERY slowly over them if you have a low car as I do), we parked up and I noticed the new, well to me new, Sky Trail. On closer inspection, we realised they had a tiny one underneath for the little people. From 3 years old, you can try out the Sky Tykes.

Wicked Wednesdays #5

Wow, another week has gone by and time for another Wicked Wednesday. Where did last week go?

Funny how the week’s fly by but then sometimes the days drag on forever! Well, last Sunday was definitely one of those days. I think we both must have got out of the wrong side of the bed, I was on a short fuse, as was the little guy. He wasn’t being naughty but the slightest silly thing was really getting under my skin. Know that feeling? Maybe a tad hormonal?!

Anyway, as always when it get’s like this, I think, right, let’s get out of the house, so first thing we headed out to the Farmer’s Market, walked around there, chomped on a gorgeous Crepe. The little guy bumped into nearly all of his pre-school group – what a social butterfly! Then it was time for Little Rugby…ah a bit of timeout for mummy to sit on the sidelines, oh no, time to join in! Home to cook lunch and then that was it, I’d hit my wall. There was nothing that was going to get me through the afternoon other than to hit the caffeine.
