It’s been a while since I’ve linked up to Brummy Mummy of 2’s Wicked Wednesday linky, shame on me!
Last weekend my parent’s came over to stay and I thought I would grab the opportunity to get out there and do some exercise, while I had the extra set of hands to look after the little guy. As many of you no doubt find, it’s a struggle to exercise while juggling little people and working. Being a single parent and the lack of anyone to look after your child, can make this even harder. So I tend to find exercise is few and far between as you may have noticed if you’ve read my post called Exercise, what’s that?
Anyway, I dragged myself out of bed, found my trainers. dusted them down and off I went….
Hmmmm, what can I say, it was torture! It’s just like starting all over again. I managed to drag myself around a 5k loop, which resulted in me looking somewhat, like a beetroot!
I got in, went straight out into the back garden and sat on the step trying to get my breath back and cool down. The conversation then went like this…
Munchkin: Mummy, why are you all wet? *pointing at my head
Me: I’m sweaty because I’ve been for a run
Munchkin: *starts running up and down the path
Me: What are you doing?
Munchkin: Trying to get sweaty!
P.S Excuse the state of the garden! It’s now looking somewhat different after we also spent some of the weekend painting the fence and mowing the lawn!
